Back Bay Traffic Advisory for June 18, 2025
The annual JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Road Race will impact Back Bay on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, starting at 7:15 p.m. Expect approximately 9,000 participants running/walking the course, beginning and ending on Charles Street between Boylston Street and Beacon Street.
Parking will be restricted on the following streets throughout Wednesday:
- Beacon Street: Both sides, from Charles Street to Arlington Street. North side (opposite the Common), from Charles Street to a point 85’ easterly.
- Boylston Street: Both sides, from Arlington Street to Charles Street.
- Charles Street South: West side, from Park Plaza to Boylston Street.
- Charles Street: Both sides, from Boylston Street to Beacon Street.
- Commonwealth Avenue: North side, North roadway, from Arlington Street to Berkeley Street.
Back Bay/South End: Pride Street Fair on June 14-15, 2025
Saint James Avenue will host two street fairs/carnivals on Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, 2025, as part of Boston’s Pride Celebration. The street will be closed to traffic during the event.
Parking restrictions will be enforced on St. James Avenue (both sides, from Berkeley Street to Arlington Street) throughout the weekend.
Charlestown: Bunker Hill Day Parade on June 15, 2025
The annual Bunker Hill Day Parade will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025. The parade route runs from Vine Street to Bunker Hill Street, Main Street, Monument Avenue, Monument Square, Winthrop Street, and Common Street. The Battle of Bunker Hill Road Race 5K precedes the parade at 10:30 a.m.

The Juneteenth Parade is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 2025, beginning at 1 p.m. While the parade route itself doesn’t require parking restrictions, the formation area may become congested. The Boston Pride for the People Parade will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Expect parking restrictions on:
